She paired the Marli jewelry with a bold Prada dress for the premiere of her new film "Prima Facie.”
Cynthia Erivo dripped in jewels and brought fall’s bold color trend to London in custom Prada on Tuesday for the London Film Festival screening of her new film “Prima Facie” at The Royal Festival Hall.
Not only did the gown bring a ray of bold sunshine yellow to the red carpet, the Italian luxury fashion house dress also perfectly frame the Oscar-nominated actress’ tattoos. Erivo’s ink was seen running down her arm as well as her back, spotlighted by the backless and cutout element of the Prada dress.
The gown was crafted with a slim-fitting silhouette, with a square neckline and a mostly figure-hugging design. The skirt of the dress created a long train, which trailed the actress on the red carpet and created a liquid, puddle-effect.
Black straps with a contemporary variation on a feminine bow were added at the shoulders and the halter neckline at the back, connecting to the satiny golden yellow material that created the cutouts for framing Erivo’s tattoos.
As for accessories, the “Wicked” star piled on the diamonds with delicate pieces courtesy of Marli, a New York City-based brand. Erivo’s jewels totaled to more than $50,000 and featured earrings and rings that also served to spotlight the actress’ green and pink-tinged nails. (A reference to her “Wicked” days? Perhaps.)
Erivo pulled from the Cleo and Avenues curations from Marli, sporting such pieces as the Cleo diamond drop earrings, Cleo diamond slim slip-on bracelet in both black and golden yellow, Cleo diamond ring, Cleo full diamond ring, Cleo diamond slim ring and the Avenues ring and Avenues index ring.
