The Oscar winner accepted the Award of Inspiration wearing voluminous black-and-red trousers and a fitted tank top.
Charlize Theron went for precision and proportion in designer Sarah Burton‘s latest for Givenchy at amfAR Dallas 2026 on Saturday night, where she received the Award of Inspiration.
The Oscar-winning “Monster” actress turned to the French luxury fashion house’s spring 2027 ready-to-wear collection from the British creative director. The ensemble was cast in contrasting tones of black and red, pairing a fitted top with dramatically oversize trouser.
A black utility tank top featured red trim at the neckline and double shoulder straps, which featured cutouts. A black belt with a large, circular silver buckle defined the waist, separating the fitted top from the billowing trousers below.
Wide-leg, baggy black trousers with red stripes that picked up the trim from the tank top were the hero piece of the look. Folded panels of fabric extended outward from Theron’s hips before draping down the legs, creating an almost skirt-like silhouette.
Minimalism was the route Theron took with her jewelry, including a bevy of stud earrings and ear cuffs. She finished the looks with Givenchy’s black Mobile zipped mules. The actress often collaborates with stylist Leslie Fremar on her red carpet wardrobe.
Givenchy’s spring 2027 ready-to-wear collection made its runway debut during Paris Fashion Week in early October. In WWD’s review, Joelle Diderich described “a collection rooted in precision cutting and streamlined proportion — a kind of thinking woman’s tool kit,” that also applied to Theron’s red carpet look.
