Veteran star Cristiano Ronaldo is in the squad for today's UEFA Nations League opener.

Life under new head coach Jorge Jesus begins for Portugal on Thursday as it starts its UEFA Nations League campaign at home against Craig Bellamy’s Wales.

While a new boss is at the helm, the Portuguese lineup has a familiar look, with 41-year-old record goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo named among the host’s 25-man squad. While Portugal was knocked out in the round of 16 during the World Cup, Wales was left heartbroken after failing to reach this summer’s tournament, with Bellamy now set to oversee a period of transition for the Dragons.

Portugal hosts Wales at the Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon on Thursday, Sept. 24. Kickoff is set for 8:45 p.m. WEST local time in Portugal, which is 7:45 p.m. BST in the UK. That’s a 2:45 p.m. ET or 11:45 a.m. PT kickoff in the US and Canada and a 4:45 a.m. AEST start on Friday in Australia.
