The platform has a new campaign planner element and a way for brands to improve their optimization scores using customized recommendations.
Reddit added artificial intelligence-powered performance enhancing elements to its Ads Manager platform, which will forecast likely ad campaign results and optimize ad spend based on real-time responses.
First, Reddit has a new campaign planner element, which can predict reach, impressions and costs for each campaign ahead of launch.
Advertisers will be able to enter campaign details and hit “Generate” to get an overview of the projected performance.
The generated overview will also provide info on how consistently the advertiser’s target audience has been active on Reddit. In addition, it will offer conversation summaries that highlight dominant themes across targeted subreddits.
Reddit also launched a new campaign optimization score, which provides another predictive performance element and offers tips on how to improve the score.
As explained by Reddit: “The score combines a 0–100% rating with data-driven recommendations tailored to each campaign, helping advertisers identify ways to improve performance. We found that advertisers with an Optimization Score of 80% or higher saw 19.6% lower blended CPA than advertisers with lower scores.”
Finally, Reddit added a campaign budget optimization option, which can automatically allocate ad budgets across ad groups.
The system will attempt to push more budget towards the best-performing ad groups, which could help to maximize spend.
These new elements offer more automated assistance for Reddit advertisers and simplify the process. That could get more advertisers on board because it reduces the manual research required to understand and optimize Reddit ads.
