How To Complete The Scarecrow Quest In Valor Mortis

Right after entering the Village in Valor Mortis for the first time, you'll come across a mutilated living corpse being hung like a scarecrow that offers you a new quest simply by interacting with it.

Thankfully, the Scarecrow quest is relatively straightforward, but it can be incredibly easy to miss some of the steps with how dense the enemies and vegetation are in the area.

The first of the two items you'll need to collect to complete the Scarecrow quest is one that took me painfully long to find, but can be found just off the dirt path left from the Scarecrow itself towards a large tree.

After following the dirt path, you'll come across a corpse carrying the Scarecrow's stolen pendant, which can either be returned now or you can wait until you find the second item to finish all at once.

To get the next item for the quest, you'll need to progress through the twisting turns of the village roughly until you reach the Marketplace Lantern. Once unlocked, you can take the following path to find the Scarecrow's Love Note:

Once you've acquired the Love Note, you'll need to head back to the Scarecrow at the start of the village, which you can get to more easily after unlocking a new shortcut to use after leaving from the other side of the house.

After you've given both items to the Scarecrow, the crows circling above it will start flying toward the center of the village , then disappear upon arrival.
