Fire Build Guide in Valor Mortis

The Fire Transmutation in Valor Mortis is a close-range spell that inflicts Ignite on enemies and deals damage over time. Since it's a close-range spell, you need to know when to approach enemies and when to keep your distance. In this Fire build guide, I'll explain how to upgrade Fire Transmutation and how to fight at close range and from a distance.

When using the Fire spell, you burn enemies in an AoE to build the Ignite effect. Ignite deals high damage over time and controls enemies for a short while. The idea is to take full advantage of this window to approach enemies and deal as much damage as possible with your Saber. This Fire build allows you to keep using Fire Transmutation against enemies while maintaining enough protection to stay in melee range and attack them as they burn.

Since you need to keep using the Fire Transmutation on enemies, you need to upgrade the stats that improve Transmutation and Nephtoglobin usage. Additionally, stats that improve melee attacks and their utilities, like the Nephtoglobin Extraction, are also essential for this Fire build.

For Ambers, use those that complement your upgraded stats to get the most out of Fire Transmutation.

Since the goal is to build up Ignite on enemies, it's good to use an Amber like Lunatic's Grasp, which speeds up Ignite buildup. The only downside is that your resistance will be affected as well. So, you need to be careful against enemies that apply Ignite, Stasis, and Poison effects.
