Best Builds in Valor Mortis

Although Valor Mortis doesn't offer a wide variety of weapons and spells, each one feels distinct. This variety lets you create multiple builds around a single weapon or spell. For example, the Pistol can support the Rapier by breaking enemies' posture, but can also be a devastating gun, dealing massive damage. In the end, your build comes down to the stats, Ambers, upgrades, and items you choose.

Having the freedom to manipulate how every blade, gun, and spell works creates an opportunity to build many combos. So, in this guide, I'll go over the best combos you can create. Here are some of the best combos in Valor Mortis:

This build Pairs the Pistol with the Saber. Use the Flaming Whetstone and Fire-Clad Rounds to infuse both weapons with Fire and build up Ignite on enemies. On the other hand, upgrade the Pistol with the Tactical Reload and Ingenious Engineering perks to amplify its damage. Once an enemy is ignited, hit them with an amplified Pistol shot to trigger an explosion that consumes Ignite and deals massive AoE damage. To enable this effect, choose Unstable Blaze as the final Fire Transmutation upgrade.

This build pairs the Pistol with the Rapier . Use the rapier's strong parrying capabilities to break enemy posture, then follow up with critical attacks with the help of the Pistol. The Pistol provides another way to break posture through its special bullets.
