Uno Minda bets on EV drives, seating and electronics to nearly double revenue by FY30

Uno Minda is recasting itself as a systems supplier rather than a parts vendor, with plans to lift revenue to about ₹40,000 crore by FY30. The company is backing that ambition with ₹1,750 crore of FY27 capex, new joint ventures, and a wider push into EV drives, seating, sunroofs and electronics.

Uno Minda is sharpening its growth plan around a simple idea: sell more value into every vehicle, not just more parts. According to The Hindu BusinessLine , the auto component maker is targeting a near doubling of revenue to about ₹40,000 crore by FY30, up from ₹19,700 crore in FY26, as it expands into electric drives, complete seating , sunroofs, advanced electronics and alternative-fuel systems.

The strategy is not limited to passenger cars. The company is also leaning on commercial vehicles, two-wheelers and exports, while building partnerships that can lift content per vehicle across internal combustion, electric, hybrid and cleaner-fuel platforms. Chairman Nirmal Minda said the group’s ambition is to move from supplying standalone components to delivering integrated systems that can travel with the industry’s technology shift.

The expansion plan is backed by ₹1,750 crore of capital expenditure in FY27. Of that, ₹1,100 crore is earmarked for growth projects and ₹650 crore for sustaining operations, the report said. The spending pipeline includes factories, technology tie-ups and product lines that are expected to deepen the company’s presence in premium and technology-led vehicle content.
