The 2027 Lexus RZ will begin arriving at dealerships early next year, with prices starting at under $50,000.

After introducing the updated RZ last year, the electric SUV has seen significantly more demand this year.

Toyota’s luxury brand sold over 10,000 RZs through September, nearly double (+91%) the 5,340 it managed during the same period last year.

For the 2027 model year, the Lexus RZ will be available with three powertrains: 350e, 450e AWD, and 550e F Sport AWD.

The base 350e uses a 79.6 kWh battery and a 221-horsepower front motor, delivering up to 301 miles of electric range.

Upgrading to the 450e AWD model costs an extra $3,500 and starts at $50,995. The AWD variant also uses the 79.6 kWh battery but adds a rear motor with Lexus’ DIRECT4 all-wheel-drive, delivering a combined 308 horsepower and 260 miles of range.

The top-spec Lexus RZ 550e AWD starts at $58,770. The AWD setup delivers a combined 402 horsepower, which Lexus said enables it to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds, the fastest of the lineup.

The F Sport variant is also the first to feature M Mode, an electronic system that replicates the feeling of an eight-speed manual transmission.

All variants have a built-in NACS port on the passenger side, so drivers can use Tesla Superchargers without a separate adaptor. Charging the battery from 10% to 80% takes about 30 minutes.

Inside, the RZ comes with NuLuxe-trimmed seats as standard, while the Luxury and F Sport grades have Ultrasuede-trimmed seats and laser-etched Ultrasuede door trim inserts.
