She opted for a sneaker-and-boot hybrid from the Louis Vuitton cruise 2027 collection.
Jennifer Connelly brought some color and fun to the Louis Vuitton spring 2027 show, held at Le Louvre on Tuesday as part of Paris Fashion Week. In a sea of black pumps and traditional shoe silhouettes, the actress leaned into the future in a pair of sneaker-and-boot hybrid shoes.
The futuristic hybrid sneaker-boots are from the Louis Vuitton cruise 2027 collection. They feature piped purple leather striping, boxing-style lacing, sneaker-inspired toe caps and metallic color-blocked block heels. The stitched leather design, which WWD described as “individually piped strips of leather sewn together,” is “a cross between a boxing shoe and something right out of ‘Star Trek.’”
Louis Vuitton‘s women’s creative director of nearly 13 years, Nicolas Ghesquière, presented the shoes as part of his cruise show for the French luxury brand at The Frick Collection in New York City in May, and the modern shoe style was worn by all the models.
The shoes showed up in multiple iterations on the runway. Like Connelly’s purple, pink and black pair, many of the shoes used metallic colorblocking. The ankle booties stood tall on architectural ribbed heels with a distinctive accordion-pleated block design, measuring around four inches.
She matched the footwear with an equally playful and colorful look. She sported a navy blue, long-sleeved minidress featuring vibrant pink and multicolored embroidery across the bodice and hem. She carried a Louis Vuitton Papillon Trunk Bag in a new purple and gold color that was also from the cruise 2027 collection.
