The actress, set to star in the upcoming untitled X-Men movie, attended the spring 2027 runway show.
It’s Maya Boyd’s first time attending Paris Fashion Week, but you wouldn’t know it.
When WWD caught up with Boyd at her hotel on Tuesday night before she dashed off to the show, she was poised and relaxed — one would assume she was a seasoned veteran.
“I’m so excited and so grateful to be here and experience a new place with food, people and the culture,” Boyd said. “I have no idea what to expect [for the show]. I’m so excited to see the looks, what Louis Vuitton has created and prepared. I’m coming along for the ride!”
The emerging actress is best known for her work on Broadway in productions of “Merrily We Roll Around,” while she was still a senior at the University of Michigan, alongside “& Juliet” and “Joe Turner’s Come and Gone.”
Boyd is also set to make her feature film debut as Ororo Munroe/Storm in the upcoming untitled X-Men movie, and joins an all-star cast of Sadie Sink, Kit Connor, Samara Weaving, Inde Navarette and Adam Driver. She steps into the major Marvel Cinematic Universe role previously portrayed by Halle Berry and Alexandra Shipp.
During her “really fun” time spent in the city of lights, Boyd strolled along the Marais for “amazing” vintage shopping and good food. She also made sure to have the “very Parisian experience” of sitting at various café tables outside for people watching.
