The queen of color change, Billie Eilish has officially dipped into a new hair palette for fall — and no, it doesn’t involve slime green or chili pepper red.
The Grammy-winning artist unveiled her latest shade mix in a fall-themed carousel on Instagram. The slide deck, posted on Monday, opened with a mirror selfie that showed Eilish with a caramel-ginger cut.
Given that the “Birds of a Feather” artist has touted dark espresso and black hair for the last few years, the warm shade was a surprising change of pace. Her ends, previously layered and let down past her shoulders, were now chopped just below her chin and colored in a seasonal cocktail consisting of smooth blond and snickerdoodle tones — it was as if she’d ordered one of everything from the fall color menu, though it’s not certain whom she ordered it from. The star has been known to frequent Benjamin Salon in Los Angeles; however, the establishment was not credited for this specific transformation.
Hailey Bieber recently picked from the moody side of the menu, dying her hair a burnt coffee shade, but Eilish clearly gravitated more toward this season’s specials — rich but warm hues. Hair artist Cody Renegar, previously told WWD: “Spiced auburn and bright cinnamon are two red tones to watch for, specifically. They’re more brown than the vivid reds we saw last year, so they’re more natural.”
Meanwhile, Moe Harb, hair educator and cofounder of Beauty Club London, predicted the return of balayage.
