Stine’s Pumpkinhead starring Cassandra Peterson now has a trailer. A Silent Hill reboot from the producer of the new Resident Evil movie is also in development. This town is full of monsters! According to the Wall Street Journal, Resident Evil producer Roy Lee is now working on a reboot of the Silent Hill franchise.

World of Reel reports filming has wrapped on The Third Hand, a WWI-set science fiction film from Oscar-winning director, Michel Hazanavicius (The Artist). Starring Bérénice Bejo, Rebecca Marder and François Civil, the story concerns “a young French soldier” who “is wounded in battle during WWI and wakes up in the laboratory of a mad scientist who has grafted a German hand onto his abdomen.” According to the outlet, “AI played a significant role” in getting the project made, reportedly “shaving eight days off” the film’s opening scene “on the battlefield on the First World War.” In the words of producer Vincent Maraval, “without AI, it’s ten days of shooting. With it, it’s two days.”

Bloody-Disgusting has word Breeder, the upcoming horror film about a demented poodle breeder shifting her focus to human eugenics, is now slated for an October 28 theatrical release date through IFC and Shudder.
