Over 30 product announcements at the annual event point to three clear bets. YouTube wants AI to edit for you, deals to close faster without leaving the platform, and episodic Shorts to keep viewers watching on TV.
YouTube dropped over 30 announcements at Made On YouTube 2026, its annual product showcase held in New York on 23 September. The headline features span AI-assisted production, custom homepage feeds designed with conversational prompts, and tools aimed at sustainable business growth.
The real story isn't any single feature. It's that YouTube now treats three things as structural priorities: getting AI deeper into the editing workflow, turning Studio into the place brand deals close instead of just where they're disclosed, and betting microdramas are big enough to deserve infrastructure, not just a trending format.
Custom Feeds let users generate alternate video feeds based on conversational prompts, and will be available to all U.S. YouTube users this fall. Examples include "Witty podcasts for my daily 30-minute commute" or "Evening wind down with long documentaries", and you can save multiple custom feeds to your home screen that update automatically with fresh recommendations.
S. on web, mobile, and TVs this fall. YouTube has been experimenting with this process for some time, with initial testing of the option launched with selected users in May.
