MrBeast, Mastercard team up to bring some priceless perks to the creator economy

Mastercard wants to integrate its services into the creator economy, so it’s teaming up with the YouTube star who’s known for making — and spending — a lot of money. Through a pact with MrBeast‘s Beast Industries, Mastercard will deliver co-branded programs that will open up new opportunities for digital professionals.

According to a press release, the partnership will combine the resources and expertise of both parties, spanning “card programs, experiences, tools and education.” Mastercard will deliver its payments network to the expansive creator ecosystem MrBeast has developed through his record-breaking videos.

Both partners are looking to target the intersection between financial services and the creator economy. Earlier this year, Mastercard followed the lead of competitors like Visa by rolling out a debit card designed to be used by creators. With that product, Mastercard aided the nontraditional digital entrepreneurs who previously encountered headaches and skepticism when dealing with traditional banks.

As for MrBeast, the man known for his supersized videos has established himself as an industry leader across fields like analytics and clipping. As he has grown Beast Industries and hired Jeffrey Housenbold to lead it, he has turned his attention to the financial world. With a notable “Beast Financial” trademark and an acquisition of Gen Z-facing fintech firm Step, MrBeast has indicated that he wants to help his massive community manage their banking needs.

“At Beast, we innovate boldly and are constantly trying things that have never been done before. Making the impossible possible, while also making kindness viral, is a core part of our brand,” Housenbold said in a statement .
