Digital health and chronic condition management company Glooko announced the commercial availability of Glooko EndoTool IV Cloud in the United States.
The solution represents the cloud-native, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) evolution of EndoTool , Glooko’s FDA 510(k)-cleared inpatient intravenous (IV) insulin clinical decision support platform.
The platform moves acute care away from static, one-size-fits-all sliding-scale insulin protocols by utilizing a dynamic mathematical model that continuously updates dosing recommendations based on each individual patient’s real-time glycemic response, renal function, and insulin sensitivity.
Unlike static rule-based sliding scales, the EndoTool algorithmic core is engineered around adaptive, non-linear pharmacokinetics. Rather than treating each blood glucose check as an isolated data point, the software continually updates an individual patient-specific model based on observed physiological responses over time:
Adaptive Glycemic Forecasting: Continuously calculates changing insulin sensitivity, rate of glucose clearance, and carbohydrate or nutrition absorption to project the next titration step.
Virtually Zero Hypoglycemia in Renal Disease: Demonstrating algorithmic stability in high-risk edge cases, clinical validation cohorts show a severe hypoglycemia rate of just 0.0013% among patients with severely impaired renal function —a population where altered drug metabolism and delayed insulin clearance routinely cause severe protocol failures.
Frictionless Bedside Nursing UX: Rebuilt from the ground up for modern hospital workstations and tablets, the cloud user interface minimizes clicks, consolidates dosing history, and delivers intuitive prompts to reduce nursing cognitive fatigue in fast-paced ICU and step-down environments.
Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure: Delivers native cloud deployment supported by SOC 2 Type II certification and HIPAA-compliant data pipelines, eliminating on-premises hospital server maintenance while standardizing IV insulin dosing across multi-facility health system footprints.
