Zelda Ocarina of Time release time in your time zone

The Zelda Ocarina of Time remake release time is just around the corner, as Nintendo introduces a new generation to one of its classic games. Unlike the 3DS port from 2011, Ocarina of Time on Switch 2 includes a massive visual overhaul, along with several quality-of-life features that weren't present in the original Nintendo 64 release. Pre-orders are still open at some retailers if you're hoping to snag a special bonus, though US-based folks only get one bonus to choose from.

Below, we break down when Zelda Ocarina of Time releases in your time zone.

Nintendo usually doesn't give exact release times for its first-party games, and Ocarina of Time is no different. However, unless stated otherwise, eShop releases launch at midnight in the easternmost time zone of your region. For example, that'd be 12 a.m. on March 5 in New York City, but 9 p.m. PST in San Francisco.

That means you can play Ocarina of Time early if your Nintendo Account is linked to another region. If you want to play early and haven't linked your account to another region already, however, we recommend just making a new account for that purpose. The process of un-linking and re-registering an existing Nintendo Account is tedious and potentially problematic, since your save data is tied to your account.

Bear in mind that Ocarina of Time is a Switch 2 exclusive. It won't work on the original Switch.

, you only get one: the game case with a special foil art cover .
