Xbox Officially Makes 5 Games Completely Free Until ~November 1

Xbox's final Free Play Days Promotion for October 2026 (the first for November) is now live through November 1 or November 2, depending on the exact game. The good news is that, across all five Xbox Free Play Day games, fans are likely to have something they want to check out this weekend. The bad news is that it's more restrictive than usual.

Xbox's Free Play Days Promotion divides its free game selection into two categories: Free for All, which is exactly as it says, and Free with Xbox Game Pass. The latter requires an Xbox Game Pass subscription, although they are considered free perks and not traditional additions to the Xbox Game Pass library. This weekend, only one of the games is Free for All, while the other four are free with Xbox Game Pass.

A recent controversy surrounding the lack of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 reviews on Xbox is pushing Microsoft to improve its review system.

As officially announced by Xbox , the Xbox Free Play Day Free for All game is Dead by Daylight, which is available until November 2 on console, and the other games include Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Darkwood, Spirittea, and Everspace 2. To help players make the most of this Free Weekend promotion, further details on each game are below, including store links. That said, the easiest way to claim these free Xbox games is via consoles, either through the subscription tab for Free Play Days or by searching the Microsoft Store.
