Solo Leveling stands tall as one of the most recognizable anime series all around the world. When it comes specifically to South Korean series, it is by far the most popular, and it has redefined the genre as a whole and inspired many others to follow its lead.
This new rise in popularity for Sung Jinwoo's story comes from the TV anime by Aniplex and A-1 Pictures, but its first project that got traction was, of course, its manhwa. While Sung Jinwoo's manhwa series ended in 2020, Solo Leveling continues with the manhwa adaptation of his son's journey, known as Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. As many fans know, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok went on a sudden hiatus back in January 2026. The wait has been long since then, but finally, after 10 months, we have official confirmation that Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Season 3, the next installment of the sequel, is on the way. The new artist Sanjimseung is finally ready to continue from where the previous artist, JIN, left off back in January.
Fans all over the world know Solo Leveling as Sung Jinwoo's story first and foremost. However, Jinwoo's journey came to an end as a novel in 2018 and as a Manhwa in 2020. That said, the Solo Leveling universe is still expanding through the sequel that follows his son, Sung Suho, known as Solo Leveling Ragnarok. This new series is nowhere near as popular as the original story, especially due to no anime adaptation out at the moment.
