Wardogs Studio Boss Tells Players To ‘F*ck Off’ During December

The boss of Wardogs developer Bulkhead has told Edge magazine of his intentions to give the entire studio the whole month of December off work, following the successful early access launch of the tactical FPS. He’s also suggested that the players also “fuck off in December,” pointing out they’ll probably be busy playing GTA 6 instead.

Launched in September, Wardogs is a multiplayer FPS that allows 100 players to have fight one another across an enormous map, and it’s proven extremely popular. Hitting well over 400,000 concurrent players in its first few days, and still reaching over 100,000 simultaneous players a day, sales estimates suggest around five million copies. So if nothing else, the team can afford a good few weeks off.

Joe Brammer, the CEO of Bulkhead, isn’t exactly shy. Rather uncomfortably, soon after the launch of Wardogs, he said that the company doesn’t hire people known to complain about being forced to crunch. At the same time, in the new interview with Edge (via GamesRadar), Brammer said that his team’s incredibly hard work has earned them a clean month off. “Everyone has done something that’s not in their job description,” he told the magazine. “Everyone wears multiple hats, because they can see the path to success with the product.”

As for players, who are somewhat turning on the game with its recent (40,000) reviews averaging to “Mixed” with only 51 percent being positive, they too can take December to themselves the CEO suggests. “We’re going to make sure players know they can fuck off in December,” Brammer said.
