The headline tells the story: The Elder Scrolls VI has an official subtitle and it's Sentinel. So the full game is now titled The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel, or, as we will undoubtedly refer to it moving forward, as we colloquially do with the previous three games (Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim), Sentinel.
The news comes from Bethesda's various social media accounts, which are all sharing the video above. Along with the video, music, and the title, it also shares the text as a quote attributed to Yazar, Moth Priest to High Queen Iradne of Hammerfell (4E 206): "The scroll offered only a shimmer, a veil thinly lifted to my eyes. A future lost. A victory undone. Sands of time scattered by fate."
Sentinel is one of the nine major kingdoms within Hammerfell and is the capital of both the Alik'r Desert region and the Myrkwasa region of the Alik'r (source: elderscrolls.fandom). With this knowledge, it's fair to assume Sentinel will have many desert locations.
The name continues the tradition of naming the games after locations in the Elder Scrolls universe. Oblivion is the sort of exception, as it is a realm, but it still counts. We still don't know exactly when The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel will be released, but we're now about seven years from its original announcement at E3 2018.
