Steam Users Can Claim 10/10 Masterpiece FPS Completely Free of Charge in October

Steam users will have a chance to claim one of id Software’s best games, Doom (2016), for free on October 28. The game has earned overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam, and its multiplayer mode remains somewhat active despite being a decade old. Now, those who missed the chance to play this acclaimed title or want to add it to their PC library can look forward to an upcoming key drop event that will offer Doom at no cost.

The 2016 installment remains one of the most popular games in the Doom franchise. Many players praised it for staying true to the classic titles in the series, with some even describing it as a 3D version of the original Doom. However, many gamers may still have never played it and may not be willing to spend $19.99 on a decade-old game. Those players will now have a chance to claim Doom (2016) without spending a dime through Lenovo’s latest giveaway.

September 2026 continues to hand out free games to keep, courtesy of Steam, Amazon Prime Gaming (Amazon Luna), Epic Games, and more.

Lenovo Legion Gaming Community periodically hosts game key drop events, giving away hundreds and sometimes thousands of free Steam games. On October 28, it will hold a similar event for Doom and claims the queue will move much faster than during previous drops. The Legion Gaming Community also recently gave away free Steam keys for another acclaimed title, Before Your Eyes , as well as Telltale’s The Walking Dead .
