The physical map included in the controversial Grand Theft Auto 6 collector’s edition has everyone discussing whether it proves the leaked version wasn’t final.
Yesterday, after hours of speculation and leaks, Rockstar officially revealed the Goodtime State - Vice City Collection for GTA 6, which is the closest thing we have to a collector’s edition. The merch box has been pretty divisive since it was announced, mostly because of the $400 price point for something that doesn’t even include the game.
That being said, the collector’s edition does have some interesting items in it, chief among them being a stylised physical map of Leonida. Even though Rockstar purposefully only showed a very small corner of the map, that glimpse might have been enough to suggest that the previously leaked map isn’t entirely accurate.
During Cyberleek’s massive wave of GTA 6 leaks a little over a month ago, one of the earliest things the hacker group shared was a close look at the game’s full map. Considering how secretive Rockstar has been about showing how big Leonida actually is, the leak was a pretty damning one, especially since it lined up with the community mapping project.
Just like Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 6 is getting a collector's bundle instead of an edition featuring the game.
As pointed out by Redditor Babek_Reverof on the GTA 6 subreddit , the version of the map included in the Vice City Collection has a rather interesting detail that might suggest the leaked map wasn’t final.
