With the arrival of EA Sports FC 27 comes an entirely new type of card in the Ultimate Team mode: the Holographic card. This ultra-rare new card type comes in two forms depending on the player rating, and they're already proving to be very popular as a way to show off your team to rivals.

So, how exactly can you find or earn Holographic cards in FC 27? As you might expect, you'll need to open packs and earn player picks, but it can take much longer for some players than others, and it all comes down to random odds.

Holographic cards are a new card design in FC 27, and they come in two forms. If the player card you pull is rated 87 or lower, the card will have a special glow around the edge of the frame that bleeds onto the card slightly. If the player you pull is rated 88 or over, then the card is classed as a Pristine Holographic and will feature the player's signature in place of the card stats.

All Holographic cards still use the base card design, i.e Icon, Ones to Watch; it just adds the effect and signature.

There are no changes to player stats, PlayStyles, or in-game performance in any way; this is purely a cosmetic change to the card visuals.

Despite this, they've already become a status symbol for some players who have already settled on a very powerful team early on in the Ultimate Team mode, so they have decided to show their wealth by upgrading their team to fully Holographic cards.
