PlayStation Officially Ending Development on Ratchet & Clank Game

It's just been confirmed that development has officially ceased on Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble, the free-to-play mobile hero shooter spinoff. Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble had begun to roll out gradually to those who pre-registered after the game's reveal, but as of November 6, development on the spinoff has ended and the servers are set to be shut down soon.

Officially announced in November 2025, Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble is a free-to-play hero shooter that was being developed by Oh BiBi in collaboration with Insomniac Games and PlayStation. Following its announcement towards the end of 2025, Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble began testing in certain regions, and on July 15, 2026, PlayStation opened up pre-registration for the masses on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. No official global release date was ever given for Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble, but over the last few months, those who pre-registered were gradually being invited to play the game based on region.

This newly released Steam game blends the adorable aesthetics and gameplay of Ratchet and Clank with the challenges of Hades.

Just less than a year after the game's initial reveal, developer Oh BiBi has just announced that it's ceasing development on Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble effective immediately. The mobile hero shooter will receive a final update on November 6 and will be ultimately removed from app stores on November 21. Those who download the game before that November 21 delisting will be able to play Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble up until May 1, 2027, when the game's servers will be shut down permanently.
