Pixel Watch battery drain bug now has an official remedy from Google

TL;DR Google informed us at Android Authority that an official fix for severe Pixel Watch battery drain is rolling out over the next couple of days.

The issue cut battery life down to roughly 12 hours on mostly idle devices across multiple Pixel Watch generations.

Because the fix is deployed via app updates, users can manually update their apps through the Play Store on the watch.

Google has officially started rolling out a solution for the severe battery drain affecting Pixel Watch users over the past week. After acknowledging that a fix was in the works , the company has now confirmed to us at Android Authority that the rollout is underway to resolve the issue, which caused wearable runtimes to crater overnight across multiple generations of Google’s smartwatches.
