No, Freddy Fazbear Can't Wield Thor's Hammer In Fortnite

There are only a few people worthy enough to wield Mjolnir, Thor’s hammer, in the Marvel multiverse. A neat detail in Fortnite is that lore carries over to the game. If you aren’t wearing a skin that is considered worthy, then Mjolnir can’t be equipped as your pickaxe.

Of the thousands of skins added to Fortnite, only five can be equipped with Mjolnir, and three of them are just different versions of Thor. No one has been added to that list since Moon Knight made it five when his skin was added in 2022. However, Fandom's Fortnite Wiki has some fans believing that Freddy Fazbear has been deemed worthy enough to wield the hammer of Thor.

A screenshot from the Fortnite Wiki’s Worthy Outfits page has gone viral since it now includes three Thors, Moon Knight, Captain America, and Freddy. I checked the page myself, and Freddy really is on there. An historic moment for not just Fortnite, but also Marvel. As demonstrated by the limited number of Worthy skins, not to mention the movies and decades of comics, Marvel doesn’t let just anyone lift Mjolnir. Especially not animatronic bears from an entirely different franchise.

Unfortunately, even though it remains unaltered, the page seems to be inaccurate. Not only are there no details explaining why Freddy has been added to the Worthy roster, but players have been putting the claim to the test and sharing evidence that, much like almost every other skin in the game, a pop-up informs them that Freddy is not worthy enough to wield Mjolnir when you try to equip him with the Thor-themed pickaxe.
