An upcoming fan-made Pokemon game is bringing back the Battle Frontier, a fan-favorite feature that's been missing for well over a decade at this point. The first Pokemon game to feature the Battle Frontier was Pokemon Emerald, with it becoming one of that game's defining and most popular features. The Battle Frontier disappeared in the transition to Diamond and Pearl, but came back again as one of the big selling points of Pokemon Platinum.
The Battle Frontier returned yet again in Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver. It's no coincidence that many fans consider the Pokemon games with the Battle Frontier as some of the best in the series, and it's also not surprising that many have called for it to come back in future Pokemon games. No plans to bring back the Battle Frontier in an official Pokemon release have been announced at the time of this writing, and so fans are taking matters into their own hands.
Pokemon HOME's latest update brings an exciting new feature to FireRed and LeafGreen, but there's a catch that players should know about.
There are all kinds of Pokemon fan games released on a regular basis, and some even include the Battle Frontier. The upcoming Pokemon Monomyth is one such fan game with the Battle Frontier, and it's supposedly set to release at some point in the near future. The ambitious project has been six years in the making and the Battle Frontier is honestly just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the sheer amount of content in the game.
