New GTA: San Andreas Release Adds Zombies

A brand-new mod released for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas adds a zombie-themed makeover to the classic open-world game, complete with an original story and new mechanics. GTA: San Andreas has been a fan-favorite in the series since the game first debuted in 2004.

The open-world game, set in the fictional state of San Andreas, was a landmark release for the Grand Theft Auto series. GTA: San Andreas added numerous new features to the game, from the ability to swim for the first time in the series to driveable bicycles. The game also offered a much larger world for players to explore than previous entries in the franchise, expanding from Los Santos into the entire state with multiple major cities and smaller towns dotted around the map. Now, a brand-new mod for GTA: San Andreas has completely reimagined the game's setting as being gripped by a zombie apocalypse.

GTA 6 is entering a new phase of its marketing campaign, with Rockstar's latest promotions being far more elaborate than simple billboards.

The newly released GTA: Infected State mod overhauls GTA: San Andreas into a survival horror game centered around a zombie infection. Players take control of a pair of FBI agents tasked with investigating a mysterious disease that has turned the citizens of San Andreas into ravenous zombies in an original story created for the mod. The expansive overhaul adds a full-fledged inventory system to GTA: San Andreas , as well as RPG elements like character progression, leveling, and even boss fights.
