Major Pokémon Center TCG Orders Delayed At The Last Minute

Pokémon TCG fans who pre-ordered Delta Reign ETBs still haven't been charged

Pokémon Trading Card Game fans have spent the last couple of days feeling anxious. Delta Reign, the next big TCG set, releases on Friday — and The Pokémon Center hasn't updated anyone about their orders. Typically, the official Pokémon storefront charges for pre-orders a few days before release; shipment updates tend to come the day before launch. It turns out the lack of communication reflects an actual, active issue with orders.

There are three major Delta Reign products set to release on Friday, Nov. 6: the Elite Trainer Box, Booster Bundles, and Booster Boxes. Pokémon Center ETBs, which come with extra packs and promo cards, are particularly prized by fans and resellers.

Pokémon customers from the U.K. recently received a notice from TPC informing them about delays for all three items. The company now says that its Delta Reign products will ship sometime in mid-November, but has not share any specifics beyond that.

Customers in the United States, however, have not been informed of issues with orders yet. Given the lack of charges and shipping updates, it seems likely that it is only a matter of time before TPC breaks the news to everyone. As of this writing, TPC's website is undergoing extensive maintenance.

According to Pokémon fans sharing their communications with TPC customer support, the delays are due to an internal mix-up. The storefront apparently told a number of customers that they had to reauthorize payments despite, in some cases, not actually needing additional information.
