Immersive Gamebox reveals most popular games for corporate team-building

Immersive Gamebox analysed its corporate bookings between Janaury and August 2026, to find the most played games this year, with Squid Game taking the top spot. The interactive experience based on the Netflix TV series was played at 50% of the corporate bookings, followed by Box Party , the competitive party experience, which featured in 21%, while Escape AI ranked third with 9%. Immersive Gamebox also found that December is by far the busiest month for corporate bookings. With 309% more bookings than the average month, businesses planning team-building activities for the festive period will need to start securing their activities now. Lisa Paton, CEO at Immersive Gamebox , said: “The high-energy experience of immersive gaming offers employees a chance to have fun, but also to strengthen team relationships. To solve puzzles and succeed in the game, team members must openly and clearly communicate to strategise and navigate challenges, as well as trust and listen to each other. ” In 2025, Immersive Gamebox had 2,793 corporate bookings, which was a 50% increase on the prior year, suggesting a rise in businesses opting for more fun and alternative team-working activities, rather than traditional team away days and icebreaker games. Making time for team-building activities has never been more important, as shown by research from earlier this year, in which 42% of employees said they had considered leaving or actually left their jobs due to workplace loneliness and 16% didn’t have workplace friends. Team-building activities can further develop professional relationships, helping employees get to know each other better to improve collaboration, communication, and morale.
