It's been known for a while that GTA 6 wouldn't be released on PC at the same time it arrives on consoles. That isn't the way Rockstar does things. However, a new report may have revealed that the PC version of the game will be launching a lot sooner than many were expecting.
According to GamesBeat, the PC version of GTA 6 will be released during Q1 2027, so before the end of March 31. That means, at the latest, if the report is accurate, GTA 6 will be officially available on PC within four months of its console launch. It might also potentially mean we get the PC version even earlier than that, with the possibility that the game arrives on a third platform anytime from January 1, 2027, onwards.
GamesBeat claims to have confirmed plans for GTA 6's release window with four industry sources that are privy to Rockstar's plans surrounding what will likely be the biggest video game launch of all time. Naturally, those sources requested to remain anonymous, which means there's no official confirmation for now. It's a ray of hope, a bright one, however, for those who would rather play GTA 6 on PC and feared how long they might be made to wait.
That comes after the last hope PC players were given was swiftly shut down . A confusing message surrounding the ability to stream GTA 6 via the cloud courtesy of Xbox implied that it would cover streaming the game to PC.
