GTA 6 Launch Trailer Already Has More Views Than GTA 5's

GTA 6 is exactly one month away, and the hype is real. Rockstar dropped its launch trailer last week, and we’ve all been watching it on repeat so much for the last three days that the new look at the most anticipated game of all time already has more views than GTA 5’s launch trailer ever did.

The GTA 6 launch trailer has been watched 47 million times in the last three days. That means, on average, there have been 175 people hitting play every single second since it dropped, around the clock, 24 hours a day.

While I’m sure we were all very excited about the imminent arrival of GTA 5 - I was there, but it’s so long ago that it’s difficult to remember - comparing it with GTA 6’s launch trailer numbers demonstrates just how much hype there is for this new installment. The GTA 5 launch trailer was published 13 years ago, ahead of the game’s arrival on PS3 and Xbox 360. Today, that trailer has 34 million views.

Despite having a 13-year head start, the GTA 5 launch trailer has been beaten by its younger sibling in just three days. Numbers that make it even harder to fathom just how big this game is going to be. Especially when you consider the fact that, since that launch trailer dropped 13 years ago, GTA 5 has been released and gone on to sell 230 million copies, making it one of the best-selling games of all time.
