GTA 6 is getting a collector's edition with a price tag that feels more like a kid on an Oppressor has blown you up in your own apartment and sent you hurtling to the in-game hospital to get fleeced, but you don't need to drop $400 if you have a 3D printer handy.
In just one day, X user and 3D artist @JSantiag0rj has created their very own, almost 1:1 accurate version of Macca the Gator. "For those who doubted... the first part of the silly alligator bait is already done," the post reads. "Just need to print the tail and base now.
"The alligator was going to [be one click], then it went to ZBrush to refine some stuff, the base with the logo I modeled and did the tail cut with the fitting so I could print it separately," they explained in the comments. "It wouldn't fit to print the size I wanted on my printer."
Of course, the collector's edition comes with a lot more than an alligator. There's the Leonida Keys Crossbody Bag, New Era 9FORTY Snapback Hat, Macca the Gator Magnetic Mirror, Chunkee the Manatee Shot Glass, Vice City Collectible Swizzle Spoon, Vice City Razor Blade Keychain, and Oakley Frogskins Sunglasses—which are almost single-handedly responsible for the price tag.
Considering the alligator took just one day, I doubt it'll take long for people to make their own shot glasses, swizzle spoons, and keychains. The $200 sunglasses might be a bit trickier, but hey, knock-offs are aplenty.
