The Collectors Box of God of War Laufey was officially revealed by the PlayStation UK account, though it has seemingly caused another wave of backlash due to the game not actually being included. It's a trend within the gaming industry that seems to be picking up steam as of late, though this God of War Laufey announcement comes at a time when Sony is already facing plenty of criticism.
After being announced at the June 2026 State of Play, God of War Laufey is seemingly taking the Kratos-led franchise in a different direction, one that some fans seem to be a little wary of. Still, pre-orders appear to be doing well after going live on September 29, with Sony Santa Monica revealing two versions of God of War Laufey being available for purchase. Fans can opt for the standard version or a special Deluxe Edition which comes with armor sets for Faye and Phranque, as well as an in-game resources pack. However, there now appears to be a third version available for pre-order, though fans may want to read the fine print on this one before placing down their money.
Even though God of War Laufey's pre-order bonuses are a guarantee, there is one major catch that players will want to know beforehand.
In a listing on the official PlayStation website , the contents of the God of War Laufey Collector Box have been revealed, and it unfortunately doesn't come with a copy of the game. 99 and sales will be limited to just one box per person.
