Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 Officially Sets Up Major Changes for Dexter Morgan

Dexter: Resurrection returns to Paramount+ with Showtime on October 30, and Michael C. Hall's titular serial killer with a code faces a personal crisis, a new host of enemies, and an unexpected return of a character he thought was dead. Dexter Morgan knows all about dying only to be resurrected after his dramatic return last season, but this is a comeback nobody saw coming.

Resurrection Season 1 saw the introduction of a new generation of serial killers for Dexter to wrap in plastic on his kill table and dispose of. The killer with a code was successful in his disposal of the Gemini twin killers, the tattoo collector, and Ronald 'Red' Schmidt, but the Rapunzel killer, Al Walker, escaped, and Mia LaPierre (aka Lady Vengeance) apparently died in her prison cell. But Dexter: Resurrection creators have teased several changes for Dexter Morgan, one of which is tied to Lady Vengeance's surprise return.

In a show with a protagonist like Dexter Morgan, it's hard to create a fitting villain. These characters, though, create a fascinating dynamic.

Michael C. Hall, Jack Alcott, Uma Thurman, Desmond Harrington, Brian Cox, Dan Stevens, Krysten Ritter, Eric Stonestreet, David Zayas, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, and James Remar.

The last time fans saw Lady Vengeance, she was dead in her jail cell after apparently dying by suicide in Season 1, Episode 6. After Dexter realized the femme fatale didn't follow the same code as him, he framed her for murder, and she was promptly arrested.
