Arc Raider's PvE Mode Is Now Available For A Limited Time

One of the biggest aspects that made Arc Raiders so popular was its unique balance between the PvE and PvP sides of the extraction shooter genre. Despite one of the mechanics that made it stand out the most, the PvP side of things has been one of Arc Raiders' most controversial aspects since release, with countless debates on whether the developer should introduce a dedicated mode without it entirely.

Alongside the massive new Frozen Trail update, Embark Studios is also tackling the long-running issue by incorporating a brand-new game mode specifically made for those that just want to engage with the PvE side of the game.

Available now until October 20 at 11:00 AM CEST, you'll be able to toggle PvE-exclusive matchmaking in Arc Raiders, which drastically changes the gameplay experience with completely dedicated servers. If you're wondering what the experience will actually be like, the developers of Arc Raiders offered some extra details on their official blog.

While players can expect the complete removal of player-to-player damage from weapons, throwable items, and melee knockouts, the lowered danger also comes with a decreased loot value compared to traditional PvPvE servers. The player-friendly mode will also not include limited events like Night Raid, Locked Gate, Frigate, etc., but exclusively standard maps.

Given that the current run is simply a test as opposed to a full implementation, these features are also subject to change in the future, which the developers have noted might result in longer queue times at certain hours for those in less populated regions.
