Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave has already managed to become one of the highest-rated entries in the series, with well over a hundred hours of content to experience. Despite having only been out for less than a month, however, Nintendo made a surprise announcement that not only would Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave be getting several DLC updates, but that a major story expansion was also in the works.
The best part of the announcement, aside from finally getting to see several of the concepts that were originally cut from the final edition of Fortune's Weave, is that the first DLC is already available for you to download right now.
Revealed in a trailer posted to the Nintendo of America YouTube channel, the Fortune's Weave Expansion Pass will cost $34.99 (or $104.99 when bundled with the game itself), and be released in 3 separate waves, the first of which is already available today. Adding in four weapons from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the release schedule will be as follows:
Although the new weapons and outfits likely aren't enough to make you go back and replay through Fortune's Weave just to utilize them, they are still some welcome additions when it comes to mixing up the variety of your subsequent runs through each Lord's story.
Fortune's Weave is shaping up to be a truly special entry in the Fire Emblem series.
The real star of the show when it comes to the Expansion Pass announcement is easily the third wave arriving in 2027, which suggests we'll be getting four entirely new storylines based around the rival lords that had their stories cut in the final release of Fortune's Weave.
