Nium now allows businesses to fund their accounts with USDC and make fiat payouts in more than 190 countries.
Deposited USDC is automatically converted into US dollars and credited to the customer’s Nium account.
The funds can then be sent in local currencies through the company’s existing payment network.
Existing clients do not need to add a new integration or manage crypto wallets and private keys.
“Every business we talk to is sitting on the same problem in a different wrapper – they either have capital trapped in pre-funded accounts or stablecoin balances with nowhere useful to go.
Our USDC funding solves both at once. We put idle money, whether it is fiat or stablecoin, to work and we do it on the same robust infrastructure businesses already trust.”
Nium is targeting companies that make high-volume cross-border payouts, including payroll and contractor platforms, online marketplaces and fintech firms managing multiple payout corridors.
The launch follows Nium’s introduction of stablecoin-backed card issuance as part of its wider digital asset strategy.
