Manasquan Bank Welcomed Japanese Banking Delegation for International Knowledge Exchange

Manasquan Bank recently welcomed a delegation of approximately 30 Japanese banking professionals for an engaging discussion on community banking practices in Japan and the United States.

The visit provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on the evolving banking industry, including lending practices, branch operations, regulator oversight, client experience, marketing strategies, cybersecurity, and the responsible use of emerging technologies.

The delegation shared insights into Japan’s network of approximately 250 “shinkin” banks, which focus on servicing local communities and small businesses. Discussions also explored how financial institutions in both countries are adapting to changing interest rate environments, evolving client needs, and advances in digital banking and the entire topic of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in a practical, ethical, and responsible manner.
