The 2027 Kia EV9 costs $90 more, but at least you get a few extras

Kia barely touched the 2027 EV9’s price, raising it by only $90 while sneaking in a few extra standard features on select trims.

Kia’s three-row electric SUV returns for the 2027 model year, mostly as a carryover model with a few design and packaging updates.

The 2027 Kia EV9 starts at $54,990, up a measly $90 from last year’s model. That’s for the base EV9 Light short-range trim, which uses a 76.1 kWh battery and delivers up to 230 miles of range.

Higher-priced trims, including the Light Long Range, Wind, Land, and GT-Line, use a larger 99.8 kWh battery that delivers up to 305 miles of range in RWD variants.

The Wind and Land trims have standard all-wheel-drive (AWD) and offer up to 283 miles of range, while the GT-Line is also AWD but offers slightly less range at 280 miles.

Kia’s dual-motor e-AWD system delivers up to 379 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque in the EV9 GT-Line, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.

For the 2027 model, the EV9 Wind now comes with black-finish 19″ wheels and the Glossy Black exterior paint color as standard, and Wolf Gray paint is newly available as an option.

The 2027 EV9 Land now includes the Nightfall Edition Package, which was previously optional, as standard. It starts at $69,990, or $500 less than the 2026 Kia EV9 Land Nightfall Edition.

The package includes a considerable performance boost with torque rising from 379 lb-ft to 516 lb-ft, plus an exclusive black interior and exterior design elements.
