Maserati's road car history is full of tributes to its own racing past, and the Trident just added another one. A one-off GT2 Stradale built through the brand's Fuoriserie customization program heads to Villa La Massa Excellence 2026, parked next to the car that inspired it: the legendary MC12.
The concours d'elegance runs October 16 to 18 at a historic estate on the Arno River outside Florence. Maserati built the one-off for a collector, translating the MC12's championship-winning colors onto a modern road car.
The commission started with a conversation between the owner and the factory. Maserati's Fuoriserie customization program works through a co-creation process where the brand's creative team builds around a client's specific requests, covering bodywork, interior trim, finishes, and equipment.
This car wears a metallic Blu Victory livery, chosen to mark the titles the MC12 won in the World GT1 Championship. A large Bianco Pastello trident sits on the matte-carbon roof, with the same white picked out in the Maserati lettering on the rear wing.
Racing references run through the rest of the car. A white number plate carries the Italian flag, the word "Italy," and the number 33 in red, while black anodized center-lock wheels get white emblems. Inside, blue Alcantara pairs with tridents stitched in black on the headrests.
One detail makes the build personal rather than just thematic. At the client's request, Andrea Bertolini, Maserati's Reference Driver and Racing Advisor, signed the engine bay himself.
Bertolini drove the MC12 through its title-winning years and won the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship behind its wheel.
