Chery's iCar V25 boxy extended-range SUV set for November 19 launch

Chery's (HKEX: 9973) EV brand iCar said on Weibo on Wednesday that its V25 boxy extended-range SUV will officially launch on November 19.

The V25 is the brand's second extended-range model and is already available in showrooms, according to iCar.

Pre-orders opened on October 19 for 4 variants with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, at prices ranging from 139,800 yuan ($20,810) to 175,800 yuan.

The rear-wheel-drive Pro and Max variants carry pre-order prices of 139,800 yuan and 149,800 yuan, respectively, while the all-wheel-drive Max+ and Ultra are priced at 163,800 yuan and 175,800 yuan.

The V25 retains the brand's boxy styling and measures 4,636 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width and 1,855 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm.

It uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a maximum output of 115 kW (154 hp) as a range extender and is equipped with a 33.67-kWh lithium iron phosphate battery.

The model offers WLTC battery-only ranges of 145 kilometers (90 miles) and 150 kilometers, with corresponding fuel consumption of 6.9 liters and 7.15 liters per 100 kilometers when the battery is depleted.

At the start of pre-sales, iCar said the rear-wheel-drive version has a 185-kW motor, while the all-wheel-drive version has a combined dual-motor output of 335 kW. Their CLTC combined ranges are 1,240 kilometers and 1,210 kilometers, respectively.

For driver assistance, the V25 features the Falcon 700+ system, powered by Horizon Robotics' (HKEX: 9660) Journey 6P chip with 560 TOPS of computing power.

The V25 made its debut on August 14 and primarily targets younger consumers.
