2027 Chevy Silverado 1500 Costs More but Has More to Offer Too

Chevy’s moneymaker is entering a new generation, with styling changes, a slew of technology updates, and two new V-8 options.

The bread and butter of Chevrolet’s business model starts and ends with its trucks. So much so that one executive recently confirmed to Car and Driver that its truck sales account for around 40 percent of the brand’s business. Naturally, the new 2027 Silverado 1500 ushers one of the most important nameplates in the business into a new generation, and Chevy has finally revealed how much it will cost.

Of course, the added benefits of the new generation come with a price hike. The base price of the Work Truck trim has increased by $1700 compared with last year, moving up to $41,395. Moving beyond the entry trim and up to the Custom grade nets you larger wheels and tires, a bit more technology, and a starting price of $46,395.

For some reason, someone at Chevy approved ditching the popular LT trim name and now simply calling it Silverado. So, the 2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Silverado starts at $50,695. At least it’ll be hard to forget what truck you’re driving if you opt for that trim. The Silverado is followed by the Custom Trail Boss at $57,195; the higher-spec Trail Boss starts at $63,995.

Moving beyond the Trail Boss results in a significant jump in price, though it comes with a slew of added features as well.
