Zazie Beetz is defying traditional maternity style, keeping hers as expressive and unique as usual, down to her shoes. Beetz’s shoe choices so far in her first pregnancy have been highlighting how statement shoes can complement maternity dressing without taking attention away from the overall outfit.
Rather than relying on traditional pregnancy-friendly footwear, she is incorporating fashion-forward designs while maintaining the laid-back and cool-girl energy of her red-carpet style. The “Atlanta” star visited the SiriusXM Studios on Thursday in New York City for an interview promoting her Apple TV series, “Nocturne.”
The actress showed off her growing baby bump in a light blue crochet bralette and striped knit skirt from Ulla Johnson’s resort 2027 collection. She added contrast with red Herbert Levine Sitting Pretty satin mules, which retail for $1,035.
The Sitting Pretty design is crafted in Italy from a rich ruby red satin. The mules boast tonal red leather insoles and soles, while the inner facing part of the heel is embellished with red rhinestones. The shoes feature trendy V-cut uppers and a pointed-toe silhouette and stand on a flared cone heel measuring 3.5 inches.
The actress debuted her pregnancy at the New York premiere of “Nocturne” on Oct. 20. For the carpet, the actress paired a striped two-piece look from Maximilian Raynor’s spring 2027 collection with striking black lace Christian Louboutin KM Lace Boots . Featuring a pointed toe and delicate floral lace detailing, the boots added an unexpected edge to her maternity ensemble. While largely concealed beneath her floor-length skirt, the footwear added some drama to the look.
