From Chaumet’s Joséphine-inspired riffs on historic pear-shaped diamonds to De Beers’ water-driven Vibrations high jewelry, London sparkles with archival storytelling and high-impact stones.

LONDON — There was no shortage of jewelry highlights from London Fashion Week, from emerging labels The Ouze and Octi showcasing their spring 2027 collections over the weekend to heritage names Chaumet and De Beers staging lavish presentations for their latest pieces. Plus a Zandra Rhodes x Tatty Devine tie-up and Liberty’s new fashion jewelry gallery were some notables from this fashion week.

The Ouze’s sleek-meets-rugged aesthetic presented during London Fashion Week stemmed from founder Tony Vernon’s fascination with antique and heirloom jewelry that has been worn and appreciated over time. The London-based silversmith and fine jewelry brand aims to capture that same sense of timelessness, using a 6,000-year-old technique involving blue carving wax, with each piece carved by hand before being cast in precious metal.

The process yielded one-of-a-kind designs, often incorporating unusual gem cuts, such as raw sapphires, in pieces that take on particular significance for the wearer.

“I wanted to wear sapphires and diamonds, but I didn’t like how delicate and fine things were,” Vernon said. “Men’s jewelry was very high-polished and uniform, with simple flat signet rings, and I wanted to change that. I just wanted more texture, more character — the ruggedness to me is really special.”

The Ouze is preparing to roll out a core collection featuring more original, sculptural styles.

For London Fashion Week, London-based jewelry designer Octi Ransom staged an immersive exhibition for her “Ammonite” collection, which explores water as a catalyst for change.
