LEGO Fan Transforms Toy Story Lotso Set Into Pokemon's Slowpoke With No Extra Pieces

A LEGO fan has created an impressive build of the Pokemon Slowpoke using only pieces from the official Toy Story Lotso set. LEGO fans have proven to be a creative bunch by the ways they've been able to rework pieces from one set into something entirely different while creating a build that looks like it could be official. While LEGO does offer some 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 sets, creators are redesigning sets that were never intended to have alternative build options.

LEGO Pokemon sets officially debuted this year as part of the franchise's 30th anniversary celebration. The initial Pokemon-themed LEGO sets included models of Pikachu, Eevee, and the Kanto starter evolutions, but the theme has expanded to include a variety of different models and LEGO Smart Play sets in the months since. Slowpoke has yet to be featured in any official LEGO Pokemon sets, so one builder has taken matters into their own hands.

Nintendo has officially revealed a brand-new LEGO Legend of Zelda set during the franchise's 40th anniversary Nintendo Direct.

Reddit user Minute_Food_2881 shared their take on Slowpoke made entirely out of pieces from the official LEGO Toy Story Lotso set on the Pokemon subreddit. In their post, the user claims that no outside pieces were used in this rendering of the Gen 1 Pokemon, making it all the more impressive. Lotso 43306 was released back in May of this year, depicting the Toy Story 3 character in 570 LEGO pieces.

Before official LEGO Pokemon sets were released, the iconic creature-collecting franchise was the subject of many custom LEGO builds.
