Amazon will announce financial results for its third quarter on October 29. In the meantime, here's a look back at some of the biggest things Amazon announced and launched since last earnings—from new devices and entertainment to grocery savings, AI breakthroughs, and community investments.
New frontier models joined Amazon Bedrock, including OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra , Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5.5 and Haiku 5.5 , xAI’s Grok 4.7 , Moonshot AI’s Kimi K3 , and Z.ai’s GLM 5.3 , giving customers a wide selection of leading frontier and open weight models.
Amazon announced TorchNeuron, it’s making it even simpler for AI developers to adopt Trainium. Today, 85% of AI researchers and developers write their code in PyTorch. TorchNeuron lets these developers run their existing AI code on Trainium chips with no rewrite needed, reducing the friction to adopt new hardware.

Almost every company is concerned about security right now. Amazon made AWS Continuum generally available, an AI-powered security service that automatically discovers, prioritizes, validates, and remediates software vulnerabilities at machine speed, addressing a critical challenge as AI-generated code grows faster than security teams can review it. With Continuum and AWS Dogwood , an open-source governance and authorization policy language that controls and verifies AI agent behaviors, AWS continues making big investments in AI security.
Amazon committed more than $1 billion over the next five years to data center communities through the Built Together investment framework for use across education, job training, energy affordability, water and energy preservation, and local priorities.
