Lululemon has overhauled its senior leadership structure, creating new president, chief product officer and chief operating officer roles as the activewear company looks to strengthen product development, brand execution and operations.
Maggie Gauger has been named president and chief product officer and Joseph Godsey chief operating officer, both effective Oct. 26. Lululemon is also searching for a chief brand officer, chief communications officer and chief technology officer, while chief brand and product activation officer Nikki Neuburger and chief supply chain officer Ted Dagnese will depart Nov. 6.
Gauger joins from Athleta, where she most recently served as president and CEO. Her new role will bring together design, merchandising, footwear, product innovation and materials science under one leader. She previously spent more than two decades at Nike, including as vice president and general manager of its North America women’s business.
Godsey joins from Walmart Canada, where he served as chief growth officer overseeing businesses including e-commerce, advertising, membership, analytics and data services. He previously served as chief supply chain officer of Sam’s Club and spent 15 years at Adidas across digital commerce, retail, technology, marketing, omnichannel and supply chain.
As COO, Godsey will oversee sourcing and production, commercialization, go-to-market, fulfillment, planning and allocations and sustainability, bringing several functions across Lululemon’s value chain into a single organization.
“We are establishing a deeply experienced leadership team that will work in a more coordinated manner, aligned around the strategy and execution that delivers the most impact for our guests, our communities and our business,” CEO Heidi O’Neill said.
