Manolo Blahnik Continues China Investment With New Shanghai Boutique

The new shop is located within the luxury shopping center's newly unveiled phase three pavilion expansion.

Two years after opening its first mainland China boutique in 2024, Manolo Blahnik is back with another new store in the region.

On Monday, the U.K.-based luxury brand opened its new boutique in Shanghai’s Plaza 66 within its newly unveiled phase three pavilion expansion.

Designed under the creative direction of chief executive officer Kristina Blahnik, a former architect, the boutique was developed in collaboration with Shanghai-based spatial design specialists BYB Vision. The space draws inspiration from the brand’s boutique in London’s Burlington Arcade, a nod to Manolo Blahnik’s signature “living room” style, conceived to reflect the warmth and character of a private residence.

The space includes bespoke furnishings created by Beijing-based designer Chen Darui as well as a sketch wall featuring a selection of Mr. Blahnik’s original ink illustrations.

The boutique opens with the selected styles from fall 2026 collection, with creations inspired by diverse themes ranging from London’s swinging ‘60s, to the Scottish Lowlands to the rich hues of ornate Italian castles.

Fans of the brand will also find Manolo Blahnik classics such as the Maysale, originally created for fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi in 1991, as well as the satin and crystal-embellished Nadira and Hangisi styles.

The winter 2026 will also be offered in the boutique, which places a particular focus on boots, introducing two new silhouettes. Ofaralex is a sleek ankle boot defined by a pointed toe and sculptural contrast heel, while Sonsal offers a softer interpretation in rich suede with a block heel.
